Other Benefits, Characteristics and Lasting Presence of the Holy Spirit!

            Acts 1:8 Jesus summons the Holy Spirit for the Disciples! His power is given

                        To the disciples through the Holy Spirit.

            Acts 1: 4-5   Tells the Disciples they will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.

            Acts 2   Tells us of the fulfillment of this prophecy.

            Matthew 28: 19 and 2 Corinthians 13: 14   – Third Person of the Godhead.

            John 16:7-15 Holy Spirit makes known the meaning of the Scriptures and

                        Bring glory to Christ.  Convicting work of the Holy Spirit.

            John 14: 16, 26 – Constant Helper, indwelling in you to teach and remind.

            Ephesians 1: 13-14 – We receive the Holy Spirit as God’s seal,  or token                                    of ownership. The promised Holy Spirit guarantees our inheritance.

            Ephesians 4:30  We should not grieve or sin in the presence of the Holy Spirit

                        As we are sealed unto the day of redemption (second coming).

            2 Thessalonians 2:7 Holy Spirit restrains sin in the world through His

                        Presence. The Church, indwelled by the Spirit, will be removed at

                        Rapture!!!!

            Matt. 3:16, Mark 1:10, Luke 3:22, John 1:32 Holy Spirit, not ordinarily

                        Visible, descends in the form of a dove on Christ. In Acts 2:3 the

                        Holy Spirit is seen as “tongues of fire that separated and came to

                        Rest on each of the disciples.”

            Ezekiel 36: 24-27 God said he would put His Spirit in them and move them to

                        Follow His decrees and tell them to keep His commandments.

            Ezekiel 39: 27-29 God told Israel that He would no longer hide His face from

                        Them, but would pour out His Spirit on the house of Israel.

            Romans 12: 6-8   1 Corinthians 12: 8-11 – Giver of our Spiritual gifts, also

                        Wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, interpretation

                        Of tongues,  distinguishing of spirits just as He wills.

            Galatians 5: 22 – Fruit of the Holy Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience,

                        Kindness, Goodness, and Faithfulness.

            Jude 1: 20   – Praying in the Holy Spirit, asking for His presence.
